Buleria is a kind of fast pace flamenco. Most probably it comes from the Spanish word bulrar which means funny.
It started with Jerez in the 19th century which is the rate that allows maximum freedom of improvisation and communication of the performer with public but requires very good technique, speed and flexibility. It is also the only dance that allows men strides.
