Nikos Chronis is a self-taught artist from Leonidio, with outstanding features in the traditional folk art. Wood, iron, branches and other objects come to life in his hands and acquire form, emotion and functionality.

He passionately to the old locks and keys of the mansions of Leonidio. Looks and maintains the old items, manufactures new, exploring the old building and operating modes and keeps alive a tradition atmosphere of another era.

Parallel, he deals with the pastoral woodcarving industry (the other branches are civil and ecclesiastical woodcarving)

“Mansion KEYS AND LOCKS”

The exhibition will be presented under the Melitzazz 2015, on the first floor of the mansion Tsouchlos. The artist will be present to explain and demonstrate the construction and operation of his work.
