Lute is a stringed instrument which has a significant role in Greek traditional music. It is used mainly on islands, accompanying lyre, violin etc. It resembles with oud, but has larger arm and great features.
The original name comes from Arabic “al oud” which means the wood or otherwise from the tuning of chords A and C that it had before.
